My Mermaid-inspired collection stems from the mythical lore of Atlantis and Lemuria, who were at war with each other for years. These sunken cities have tales about the mystical mermaids and how they survived the catastrophic war. It dives into how different cultures see mermaids and how they are interpreted differently. My muse, Cher, shows off her shiny style and iconic mermaid look. She reflects the essence of the mythical allure and ethereal aesthetic of mermaids. My collection has flowy, iridescent, see-through fabrics representing mermaid scales and the movement of the tides. It also contains fabric with a texture similar to coral, giving you the mood of living underwater. The garments are supposed to outline the elegant essence of mermaids and tell the tales of the mysterious creatures that may or may not be alive. It's an iteration of how mermaids lived, felt, and looked. The person wearing my garment would be between the ages of 18-30. While wearing my garments, they would have a sense of enchantment and empowerment, which would transport them to an underwater world of mystery. The flowing iridescent textures and silhouettes instilled a feeling of freedom and graceful movements just as the mermaids glided through the water as they pleased. Making the wearer feel a connection to the underwater world. Even going to the Met Gala, they could still feel like they are in a water realm.
